Back to work

          On Saturday, 5 March, Sr Shirley Foust presented a comprehensive financial report. For us it was educational, informative and questions alerted us to future directions. Graphs, percentages, statistics and numbers filled the power point presentation. After a buzz in small groups, Shirley gave very helpful answers to the questions posed by each table. Thank you, Shirley.

          Since Saturday we have started discussing all the information from the regional chapters, the responses to questionnaires and the proposals on the 6 topics – Governance, Mission, Formation, Family, Care of Our Common Home and Refugees, Migrants and Human Trafficking. 

After much reading and discussion we wrote the first draft of the texts and each group presented their work on Monday, 7 March.

          Over the last few days we have begun our remote preparation for the elections of the new General Council. We discussed in groups and in plenary the question “What kind of leadership is needed for the next 7 years?”
