Prayer intentions - December 2024

Prayer Intentions of the Pope

Each month the Pope invites all members of the Church to pray for particular needs. This month the Prayer Intentions of the Pope are:

For Parents Who Have Lost a Child

“Let us pray that all parents mourning the death of a child find support in the community and receive heart’s peace from the consoling Spirit.”

Needs of the Church, the Congregation and the world

Join with us in praying for the needs of the Church, the Congregation and the world, in particular for:

SIGNIFICANT ANNIVERSARY DAYS AND FEAST DAYS IN THE MARIST FAMILY

05: Anniversary of the death of Sr Marie de la Miséricorde, foundress of the Sisters of Our Lady of Oceania, (Jeanne Marie Claudine Basset -

      Aleipata, Samoa, 1904)

15: Anniversary of the death of Jean-Claude Colin (1875)

15: Departure of Marie-Francoise Perroton for Oceania (1845)

Let us continue to remember in our prayers:

  • Sr Cristina and sisters of Asia-Pacific as she begins her visitation to the Region and to Wallis in the Region of Oceania.
  • Sr Rachel Timme as she joins our formators who accompany and guide the postulants and novices in their formation and their discernment.
  • The victims of the wars in Ukraine and Israel.  Those affected by the 32 ongoing conflicts in the world at present, ranging from drug wars, terrorist insurgencies, ethnic conflicts, to civil wars.
  • Our sisters, our loved ones and our benefactors who have died recently, and all those who have died because of war and natural disasters.
