Sisters Moving, Sisters Moving!

What a beautiful day this turned out to be. We started with Mass at 7am at Via Cassia. The morning began sunny but as we waited for the bus to arrive to take us on the 30 minute drive to Monte Cucco the dark clouds gathered. Most of us got wet as we stacked our suitcases in the luggage compartment on the bus. We didn’t really mind because we were so excited that we were finally on a special mission and God was showering us, literally showering us with Blessings and Graces.  We arrived at Our Lady, Mother of Mercy Spirituality Centre run by the Ancelle Sisters de Cristo Re. It is located on a hill – Monte Cucco. Our rooms are all self-contained. God is good!     

The Agenda: Sr Mary Jane as a member of the General Chapter Preparatory Commission explained how they reviewed all the issues submitted from the Regional Chapters and other proposals that had been sent to the Commission and they placed them in 2 categories:

Issues: Formation, Mission, Governance                   

Directions: Care of our Common Home, Human Trafficking/ Refugees, Family

Clarifications of these issues and directions were also elaborated on, and these diagrams remind us of what Mission is to each SMSM today.
