Prayer Intentions of the Pope

Each month the Pope invites all members of the Church to pray for particular needs. This month the Prayer Intentions of the Pope are:


PRAYER INTENTIONS OF THE HOLY FATHER: FOR CHALLENGES THAT CONFRONT HUMANITYAND THE MISSION OF THE CHURCH.

For the Cry of the Earth 

That each of us hears with the heart the cry of the Earth and victims of natural disasters and climate change, personally committing to care for the world we inhabit.

Join with us in praying for the needs of the Church, the Congregation and the world, in particular for:

Sept 8   Pontifical approbation of Third Order of Mary (1850)

Sept 12  FEAST OF THE HOLY NAME OF MARY - Patronal feast of the Society of Mary (Preparation by community prayer – Const. 140)

Sept 24 Anniversary of first election of Superior General of Society of Mary, and first profession of Marist Fathers

Let us remember in our prayers:

  • Women who suffer in countries where their fundamental human rights are denied and for those imprisoned because of their resistance to oppressive regimes.
  • The war-torn countries of the world and innocent people, young and old caught up in the violence.
  • Mothers and their babies and children suffering from the effects of climate change and natural disasters in places lacking medical, social and psychological support.
  • Our generous benefactors who help us by their prayers and sacrifices, and the funding agencies who respond to our requests.
  • Our sisters,family membersand benefactors who have died recently, and all those who have died because of war and natural disasters.
